Crandall receives recognition for his logistics industry contributions
Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, named Michael Crandall, Vice President of Sales at Gebrüder Weiss North America, as one of the winners of this year’s Pros to Know award. The award program recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for competitive advantage. This recognition is for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement category.
“After nearly 30 years of dedicated service in the supply chain industry, I couldn’t be more honored to receive a Lifetime Achievement Pros to Know award, and I’m grateful to Supply & Demand Chain Executive for all they do to support our industry and its leaders,” says Crandall. “I am also grateful to my team, customers, and colleagues at Gebrüder Weiss. I always say that my success is determined by my team’s success, and I share this recognition with them.”
While Crandall’s title is Vice President of Sales, his role is customer service driven. He stays involved with existing customers to foster their success and find creative solutions to supply chain needs. For example, he may work with international importers to help manage a complex cross-border import process on a customer’s behalf or connect with supply chain warehousing operations to provide guidance on regulatory requirements. Internally at Gebrüder Weiss, he manages his teams with a strong focus on mentorship.
"Many of today's supply chain pros are more than just leaders within their space; they're innovators, decision makers, pioneers of change and growth. They've spent the last year (and more) creating safer, more efficient supply chains," says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “New this year, we broke the award down into four distinct categories: Top Warehousing Stars; Top Procurement Stars; Rising Stars; and Lifetime Achievement. These winners continue to go above and beyond to overcome challenges, advance supply chain management and make the impossible, possible.”
Recipients of this year’s award will be profiled in Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s March 2024 issue, which will be distributed at MODEX 2024 and at www.SDCExec.com.
