Delivery to end customers, storage facilities and webshop connection: the logistics company offers contactless solutions for the regional economy.

Offline retailers are faced with new logistics challenges with following the measures to contain the coronavirus. Therefore, Gebrüder Weiss has developed solutions that will energize the retail market in the short run, while adhering to the current safety regulations. Apart from delivery to the end customer, the logistics expert also takes care of temporary storage and the direct connection to a webshop. “The measures for the containment of the virus impact on all areas of logistics,” says Jürgen Bauer, Member of the Management Board at Gebrüder Weiss. “This is an area where we as a full-service logistics company can offer numerous alternatives, allowing our customers to keep their businesses running in the current circumstances.”

Within that scope, Gebrüder Weiss is now also organizing the delivery to end customers for the regional dealers of bike manufacturer KTM. As motorcycle buyers cannot visit the stores at the moment, Gebrüder Weiss now also delivers the vehicles from the regional dealers to the customers’ homes. After a successful launch phase, Gebrüder Weiss and KTM are now going to extend this service to the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. For fourteen years, Gebrüder Weiss has been active in the home delivery business and is the market leader in this segment in Austria. Based on cooperation with the delivery service DPD, Gebrüder Weiss also offers comprehensive solutions in the parcel segment.
