In 2023, we emitted 2,358 tons of CO2 from waste. Our goal is to continuously reduce these emissions. Through awareness-raising and the implementation of comprehensive waste management concepts, we minimize the environmental impact of waste and reduce our ecological footprint.

Since 2021, we have aimed to reduce our Scope 1 emissions by 10% annually. Scope 1 includes all direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources within our company, such as vehicle operations and facilities. In 2023, we reduced our direct emissions to 29,402 tons of CO2 through targeted measures. Our goal is to further reduce these emissions by another 10% by the end of the year.

We have also targeted a 10% annual reduction in Scope 2 emissions since 2021. Scope 2 includes indirect greenhouse gas emissions from the consumption of purchased energy, such as electricity and district heating. By increasing the use of renewable energy and optimizing our energy efficiency, we reduced our indirect emissions to 4,895 tons of CO2 in 2023. Our ongoing goal is to further reduce this figure by 10%.

Scope 3 encompasses all indirect emissions across our entire value chain, including transport services by partners, waste management, and business travel. As part of our comprehensive sustainability strategy, we reduced our value chain emissions to 388,760 tons of CO2 in 2023. Our goal is to further reduce this figure by 2%. We work closely with our partners to promote and implement sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
