On April 6th for the first time GW Croatia held its internal “Drivers’ Conference” in Zagreb. Invited to attend were respective transport partners and their drivers that carry out transport and delivery service for GW Croatia both to customers and consumers (home delivery). More than 100 participants used the weekend to improve their communication skills and get themselves in line with the company’s high quality standards.
At the beginning of the event the drivers had the opportunity to participate in on site online questionnaire where they were asked several questions concerning home delivery service expectancy. Afterwards, the topic of verbal and non – verbal communication was introduced by communication expert Mrs. Asja Lajtman where she provided valuable tips on how to deal with customers.
Conference concluded with workshops where participants worked together with GW employees in small groups with different topics from GW processes and service requirements such as COD, Carry in services, Barcode scanning, GDPR, My ecological footprint, Damage handling, ETA, Documents, licences and GW brand, AVISO. The purpose of the workshop was for GW to grasp on how well our partners understood the processes, how much of the set processes is implemented in day to day business, which processes were obsolete, which needed update and which needed improvement and clarification. Questionnaire results were reviewd and presented to the atnedees at the end of the conference.
The conference was intended not only to be a training event, but to have serivce excelence as standard performance and to express GW’s appreciation for the excellent work that truck drivers perform every day.
