Vivona Brands partnered with the Gebrüder Weiss Los Angeles retail experts to handle a special order for its beauty products. Within just three days, 73,000 individual items were unpacked, price labeled, repackaged and sent out for store-direct delivery.
A national retailer placed a large order for Vivona Brands’ beauty products to be sold in several of its stores; however, Vivona needed to adhere to the retailer’s special requirements for the product price labels. The Gebrüder Weiss team of Thomas Novelli, Process Manager, Sherry De Los Santos, Los Angeles Warehouse Manager, and Lars Laimer, Logistics Manager, utilized their extensive experience working with major retailers to develop and implement the exact process standards needed to complete the Vivona project. The plans were then coordinated with the Los Angeles Value Added Services team lead, Sylvia Iniguez.
The Gebrüder Weiss plan was a masterfully streamlined, custom repackaging process that reduced delivery time by 50%. Fulfilling the order required each of the 73,000 beauty products to be removed from the outer, inner and point-of-sale packaging to be modified with the retailer’s price label. The products were then repackaged, provided with outer carton labels, and prepared for dispatch to several stores. The store-direct shipments were made on time with zero defects. "The customer was very impressed with the speed of our response and ability to complete the project on time,” said Andrei Jansen, Director Contract Logistics.
