Due to its former excellent performance in Romania, Gebrüder Weiss was able to secure an agreement to handle the regular air and sea freight shipments for a new facility of Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) in Vietnam. The steadily growing partnership between UAC and Gebrüder Weiss has been the result of GW's continuous efforts to provide top level service and is a proof of its flexible and customized approach.

Gebrüder Weiss started work with UAC in Romania in 2008 when they began to build their own production facility in the North West of the country. As this production facility continued to develop and UAC opened a second one in the same area, Gebrüder Weiss Romania managed to grow a very close relationship with this customer and further expanded the air and sea freight business, becoming one of Gebrüder Weiss’s top key accounts in Romania.
In March of 2019, UAC received a license to invest and build a factory in Da Nang, Vietnam. The investment value upon completion was estimated at US $170 million and, once in full production, UAC Vietnam expected to serve its aerospace suppliers in North America with an estimated annual export value of US$ 180 Million. In January 2020 the factory completed its first planning phase and began production recently in June. UAC's Da Nang facility will be a sole-source supplier producing over 5,000 unique aerospace components for aircraft manufacturing. As a sole-source supplier, it is critical that these parts are delivered on-time and on-quality. With a future planned growth in composites and additional metallic aerospace components, all the products finished at UAC's Da Nang facility will be exported to the global aerospace industry.
