Toll in Denmark

A kilometer-based and CO₂-differentiated toll will be introduced in Denmark from January 2025. In future, it applies to vehicles weighing 12 tons or more and its amount depends on the vehicle's CO₂ emissions and weight class as well as the distance driven.

In addition, so-called “low emission zones” will be introduced in the cities of Denmark (Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg) – there, a surcharge will be added to the toll.
